Hales Best is a classic muskmelon producing sweet, juicy, 3–5 lb oval fruits that were a favorite at the Twin Oaks 2012 Melon Trials. Skins are netted and moderately ribbed. Plants are very vigorous and drought-resistant, with good resistance to powdery mildew.
